Mission Statement
Just A Little Lunch is a local, 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization helping feed those in need in the Dayton Community. This organization began in 2008 with our mission of parents wanting to teach their kids the importance of volunteering and the act of helping those less fortunate. 50 lunches were made in our kitchen in 2008 and taken to one shelter in the Dayton area. Over the next few years this thoughtful act grew into a reality and Just A Little Lunch was created. To date, we have served over 38,000 meals reaching Montgomery, Warren, Butler and Greene counties including St. Vincent de Paul, House of Bread and Daybreak to name a few. Just A Little Lunch has been featured on WDTN/WHIO News and in the Dayton Daily News for their community contributions and youth volunteers.
16 years of service
40'000+ meals served
Food insecurity has grown in our community & continues to be a struggle for many families. We need your help!
Just a Little Lunch is in its 16th year helping the greater Dayton Community with food insecurity. It all stated in 2008 in the kitchen with John and Niki Lee, making 50 bag lunches for a local shelter with their children. Since then, Just a Little Lunch has served over 40,000 meals and they need your help to continue this cause in 2023.
We’ve changed our model just a bit this year. We hope to go back to our larger event in the future. With that said, there is still a need to help those in our community. Just a Little Lunch is asking for donations of non-perishable items only this year. We have identified about 200 families that need our help!
